Helping your horse overcome fear builds a foundation to becoming the rider your horse deserves. My horse Wiz Kid was afraid of the tarp, but as you can see - working with him to help him overcome his fear not only got him over the tarp but set me up as the leader he needed me to be with other obstacles as well. He knows he can trust me with his fear to keep him safe. Sacking out teaches your horse to respond to your cues when you give them - not to react to whatever is going on around him. Overcoming fear isn't about teaching your horse that scary objects wont hurt him, its about teaching him to listen to you no matter what.
