Covering approximately 20 acres of shady glades and lake-side meadows at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area in Irwindale, CA, the Original Renaissance Faire celebrates it's 49th year as it continues to recreate a 16th century English sea port town's faire and marketplace.
Music and mirth fill the air as approximately fifteen hundred costumed performers bring Shakespeare’s England to life with parades, pageants, and perfectly delightful townsfolke, offering continuous entertainment of an international variety spread throughout the village. This year boasts a new, world famous Joust troupe, The Tournament of Champions as well as the world record holding knife thrower, Jack Dagger. This year will see the return of Auditions for Shakespeare, where teens are invited to perform a prepared scene to win tickets and maybe even the Queen’s Favor!

Around 150 artisans display beautifully crafted masterpieces along our streets, plenty of variety for even the most discerning shopper. And if you can’t get enough of the hand-made crafts, the Queen’s College has classes taught by our master artisans, allowing you to take home your own work of art.
