Aubree Scobie needed a Gameplan to Win the Novice Youth All-Around Title

After only four months as partners, Aubree Scobie of Paso Robles, California, and Gameplan traveled to the Youth World Show and showed off their hard work by winning the Novice Youth All-Around title.

With six classes under “GP’s” girth during the show, they earned 90 points, including a world championship in Novice Youth Goat Tying 18 & Under and reserve world championships in Novice Youth Pole Bending 18 & Under and Novice Youth Stake Race 18 & Under.

Western Lineage Reaches Elite Broodmare Status

Western Lineage recently joined an elite group of Paint broodmares when she became only the fourth mare to surpass $500,000 in offspring earnings on the racetrack.

A 1997 sorrel overo mare by Judys Lineage and out of Western Swing, Western Lineage was bred and is owned by Ronald Yates of Fort Smith, Arkansas—Ronald owned and ran her dam, Western Swing, as well. Western Lineage earned a little more than $9,000 in nine starts.

Reining By The Bay Futurity Open

For the second year in a row, Martin Muehlstaetter bested the field at Reining By The Bay, which was held in Woodside, Calif., July 23-27. This year, his partner in the show pen was Electric Barbie, who showed she had what it takes to win, and the duo took the Futurity Levels 4 and 3 Open championships.

New at the 2014 AQHA World Show

LEVEL 1 (FORMERLY KNOWN AS GREEN) WESTERN PLEASURE, HUNTER UNDER SADDLE STAKES CLASSES ADDED TO AQHA WORLD SHOW SCHEDULE

Two, all-new Level 1 (formerly known as Green) stakes classes have been added as ancillary classes to the 2014 AQHA World Show schedule. A $5,000-added Level 1 western pleasure class is slated for Tuesday, November 18, and a $5,000-added Level 1 hunter under saddle class will be offered Friday, November 21.
