Cavalia’s second equine extravaganza, Odysseo (pronounced od-uh-say-o), marries the spiritual magic of horses in play with acrobatics, aquatics and technology. All set under the grand expanse built exclusively for the event, the scenery and spectacle are stunning. The 10-story big top tent with 4 spires spans over 120,000 square feet and boasts a non-permanent sound stage, home to a technical fantasy with 67 horses, 10 breeds, and 45 artists from around the world.

Place your hands under your horse’s cheek bone and teach him to follow the feel and lead with you. It is common for horses to toss their heads and escape the feel, so make sure you are gentle rather than sudden with your request, and put your other hand on his nose to keep him connected to you. Rather than fight with him if he resists, simply bring his head to the side and draw him towards you, and remember to reward the slightest try with a release and a little rub. This will cause him to take a step to the side and you can release and reward him.
Happy and calm trails can turn into nightmare tales if you aren’t prepared for a crisis that can befall your horse on your day rides or overnighters. Hours from home, far away from your vet, and out of cell phone range, it is essential to know how to care for your horse in an emergency. In order to do this, you will nee to carry a complete first aid kit for the trail, and know how to use each item. The information below can help you cope with the most common emergencies you’re likely to come across.
Most horse owners will tell you that their horse already gets everything. After all, taking care of a horse is a consuming and expensive process. There's the boarding, the food, the tack, the vet and farrier bills; the list goes on and on. And if you ride your horse competitively you are looking at multiplying that commitment by a minimum of 3-5 times. This all comes, of course, after you have purchased the horse itself, whose prices can range from a few thousand dollars up into the millions.
